The Praxis Institute for Participatory Practices has one of the longest track records for participatory work in India. This process will provide IDS with an unbiased and rigorous means of assessing the relevance of the hotspot interventions, and will also yield a handful of the most important socio-economic indicators to include in the baseline and follow up prevalence studies.

The method being used for this prevalence study is outlined here. IDS and Praxis will undertake action research alongside partners within approximately 4 clusters. IDS and Praxis will document how partners generate their change strategies and assist them to improve their collection of data for their on-going monitoring of work.

IDS will provide an overall evaluation of the results achieved by the three-year hotspot program, highlighting learning for the Freedom Fund, its local partners and the wider anti-slavery movement.
